0 – 3 minutes: Kelly introduces herself and special guest, Kristine Rodriguez, M.A., BCBA and today’s podcast topic – evidence-based strategies and individual analysis.  Kristine leads the clinical development, training, research, and client outcomes initiatives at Autism Learning Partners (ALP), as Chief Clinical Officer. With over 15 years of experience in autism services, Kristine is passionate about making evidence-based, compassion-focused practices available to underserved populations, as well as mentoring clinicians in the design of programs that foster improved independence and quality of life.

3 – 12 minutes: Kelly and Kristine discuss the meaning of ‘evidence-based strategies’ Kristine shares her experience in discovering and validating new evidence-based practices.

12 – 17 minutes: Kelly and Kristine explore individual assessments and how they should be used in conjunction with evidence-based strategies including understanding cultural variables, barriers to learning, co-morbidity, learning styles.

17 – 29 minutes: Kristine and Kelly review assessment tools as related to developing appropriate client-specific, evidence-based practices including benefits and limitations of available tools and how family collaboration should be considered.
