The Role of the BCBA in schools: “BCBA’s are responsible for assessing and evaluating students with behavior, psychological, developmental or social disabilities and then developing a treatment plan that involves using applied behavior analysis, reinforcement and task analysis.” Join Rona Levine as she provides a detailed blueprint for building 'perfect' collaboration in schools.

Rona Levine has been working with special needs children, support staff and families since the 1980's. As a special education teacher, she taught in self contained classrooms in Brooklyn, Westchester and Ulster County, N.Y. She provided early intervention and preschool special education services for 18 of those years in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties, N.Y. Rona received her BCBA certification in 2014 and provided home-based ABA services from 2015 to 2017. Currently, she provides BCBA services in a school district in CT. In conjunction with her work as a special education teacher and BCBA, Rona is a certified yoga teacher, Reiki Master and is trained in Mindful Based Stress Reduction as well as gone through Mindful Education Training. She is certified in nutrition, herbal remedies and organic cooking and gardening through The Institute for Sustainable Nutrition. Through the union of those modalities, Rona has created and is currently presenting staff development that merges the concepts of behavior management that are based on principles of ABA and self care based on the principles of Mindfulness and meditation. Rona is the Founder of Intuitive Arts, which was developed to support people in enriching their lives through the integration of body, mind, and spirit. She currently teaches classes both remotely and live. She has a line of organic body care products which are used to support meditation, balance, relaxation and/or energizing.
